Sell items that are not yet available or not yet in my inventory

eGrow Connect provides several ways for you to sell or add items to an order which are not currently in the inventory. Click through the tabs below to explore the different options.

Note: Before any items can be used in eGrow Connect, they must first be added to the Master Items and Item Sizes Libraries.

Create a new item to add quickly on a sales order

  1. Navigate to your sales order (this option is not available for master orders).
  2. Click on items tab Add Items in the taskbar, then choose new item icon Create New Item & Add to Order.
  3. Search and select from the Master Item Library in window 1.
  4. Search and select an item size in window 2.
  5. Enter or Auto Generate a Product ID for the new item in window 3.
  6. Enter an “Order Qty” and then click Add New Item.
  7. Remember to enter an amount in the “Sell Price” column for the new item.

Allow to Overcommit Items

  1. Navigate to system setup logo System Setup > Sales > Order Allocation.
  2. Toggle the two allocation settings to match your preference.
    1. Allow to Overcommit: When turned on, this allows you to overcommit inventory that will appear automatically in the location and ready date that you determine here.
    2. Enable Manual Overcommit (within any crop): Allows for the manual overcommitting of a specific crop.

Create a Projection

  1. Navigate to Inventory Icon Inventory, then Inventory Adjustments Icon Inventory Adjustments.
  2. Click on projection icon Projection.
  3. Click Add Projections.
  4. Use the search bars to find the correct plants and click on the item when you find it.
  5. Enter the amount projected in the “Projection” column.
  6. Review the Ready Date for the items projected, and add any comments, and select if the item will be included “On Availability” or not.
  7. Hit Enter to complete the projection

Sell off of a purchase order

This is part of the Purchasing Add-on Module only.

Note: There are two ways to sell items from a specific purchase order. Using in transit icon In Transit is only one of the ways.

Marking a purchase order as “In Transit” will add inventory to In Transit location and allow you to allocate inventory to orders and run availability against expected inventory yet to be received.

  1. Navigate to your purchase order.
  2. Be sure that the status of the order is “Confirmed”. You may use the change status icon Change Status button in the taskbar if needed.
  3. Click on in transit icon In Transit in the taskbar, then Yes to confirm. *Please note: These items are not yet going to appear in your inventory, but when doing allocation on a sales order, you will see these items listed with the location “In Transit”.
