Ways to add items to a sales order

There are various ways that you can add items to a sales order. See details about each below.

  1. Navigate to sales section icon Sales, then sales order icon Sales Order.
  2. Find your existing order or create a new sales order.
  3. Click items tab Add Items and select one of the following options:
    1. Add Items to Order: Most common, this method adds items from your inventory to the order.
      1. Choose Add item icon Add items to Order.
      2. Toggle to “Show All” inventory items or just those “On Availability”.
      3. Search for items to add using the search bars provided.
      4. Click into the Enter Qty column for the item and write the quantity to add to the order.
      5. Hit Enter to move those items onto the sales order.
    2. Move Items from Existing Order(s): This method adds items to the current order from other existing orders.
      1. Choose move items icon Move Items from Existing Order(s).
      2. Check one or more existing open sales orders in the pop-up window.
      3. Click on Select.
      4. You will see a list of items on all of the orders you checked in the left pane. Click into the Enter Qty column and enter a number of items to move to your current order.
      5. Hit Enter to remove those items from the previous order and add them to the current order.
    3. Enter by Product ID or Copy/Paste Import: This method allows you to add items using Product ID entry or importing an item list from Excel.
      1. Choose copy paste import icon Enter by Product ID or Copy/Paste Import.
      2. In the “Add Items” tab you can quickly enter Product ID numbers and Quantity amounts, then clicking Add after each entry.
      3. In the “Paste Data” Tab you can copy and paste a list of items to add from an Excel sheet that has matching columns. Only include data, no headers, and use “Paste as plain text”. For a more detailed description of the Copy/Paste Import tool click here
      4. Click on copy paste import icon Parse Pasted Data.
      5. Click Add New icon Add to Order when complete and review the items on the order to be sure the items were added successfully.
    4. Add Items to Order (Advanced): Landscape Sales Add-on Module This tool is designed for adding items to a sales order in bulk.
      1. Choose Add item icon Add Items to Order (Advanced).
      2. Use the three filter options to check Farms, Categories, and Item Types that you want included in the results below. In the filtered results below, search for the item to add using the search bars provided.
      3. Enter the quantities for the order in the Enter Qty column and hit Enter.
      4. Review items on the sales order to be sure they were correctly added to the order.
    5. Create New Item & Add to Order: Landscape Sales Add-On Module Use this when you want to quickly create a new item that doesn’t already exist in your inventory and add it to the order.
      1. Choose add item icon Create New Item & Add to Order.
      2. Search and select from the Master Item Library in window 1.
      3. Search and select an item size in window 2.
      4. Create or Auto Generate a Product ID for the new item in window 3.
      5. Enter an “Order Qty” and then click Add New Item.
      6. Remember to enter an amount in the “Sell Price” column for the new item.
