Ways to add items to a sales quote
This is part of the Sales Quotes Add-on Module.
There are various ways that you can add items to a sales quote. See details about each below.
- Navigate to
Sales, then
Quotes.
- Find your existing order or create a new quote.
- Click
Add Items and select one of the following options:
- Add Items to Order: Most common, this method adds items from your inventory to the order.
- Choose
Add items to Order.
- Toggle to "Show All” inventory items or just those “On Availability”.
- Search for items to add using the search bars provided.
- Click into the Enter Qty column for the item and write the quantity to add to the order.
- Hit Enter to move those items onto the sales quote.
- Choose
- Enter by Product ID or Copy/Paste Import: This method allows you to add items using Product ID entry or importing an item list from Excel.
- Choose
Enter by Product ID or Copy/Paste Import.
- In the “Add Items” tab you can quickly enter Product ID numbers and Quantity amounts, then clicking Add after each entry.
- In the “Paste Data” Tab you can copy and paste a list of items to add from an Excel sheet that has matching columns. Only include data, no headers, and use “Paste as plain text”. For a more detailed description of the Copy/Paste Import tool click here.
- Click on
Parse Pasted Data.
- Click
Add to Order when complete and review the items on the order to be sure the items were added successfully.
- Choose
- Create New Item & Add to Quote: Landscape Sales Add-On Module Use this when you want to quickly create a new item that doesn’t already exist in your inventory and add it to the order.
- Choose
Create New Item & Add to Quote.
- Search and select from the Master Item Library in window 1.
- Search and select an item size in window 2.
- Enter or Auto Generate a Product ID for the new item in window 3.
- Enter an “Order Qty” and then click Add New Item.
- Remember to enter an amount in the “Sell Price” column for the new item.
- Choose
- Add Items to Order: Most common, this method adds items from your inventory to the order.
