Move transaction

Use the Move transaction to change the location, bed, ready date, and/or customer for items in inventory. You can change an entire crop or a portion of a crop in this way.

  1. Navigate to Inventory Icon Inventory, then Inventory Adjustments.
  2. Click on Move icon Move.
  3. Search for the item by typing in one of the search bars provided.
  4. Click to highlight the item you want to change.
  5. Fill in or change the MOVE columns data with the updated information and hit Enter. See a description of each of the Move columns below.

Example Scenario: A B&B tree grower harvests a field of 2" caliper maples from location A-1 and physically moves them to location B-1 to be held until shipment. The grower uses the Move transaction to change the location in eGrow Connect from A-1 to B-1.

Move Column Descriptions​

Columns with * are required

  • Move Qty*: Number of the item you are moving to a new location, ready or customer
  • Ready*: Estimated date this crop will be saleable
  • Location*: New location of the moved crop
  • Bed: A more specific determiniation of the inventory location
  • Customer: Requires the Purchasing Add-on and used if the entire crop is reserved for a single customer
  • On Availability: A yes designation identifies that a crop is ready to be sold and should be listed on the availability
  • Spacing Type: "P2P" means pot to pot, "S" means spaced
  • Comments: A place to make notes about the dump
  • Prod. Comments: Production notes about the plants
  • Grade: Quality of crop
  • Reason: Enter a note as the reason for the move
