Dump transaction

The Dump transaction removes items from the inventory and records the reason for the dump, such as quality issues or plant death.

Note: It is better to use Dump when removing plants instead of changing the inventory amount using a Count because it allows eGrow Connect to provide you with more accurate reporting about how well your crops are performing.

  1. Navigate to Inventory, then Inventory Adjustments
  2. Click on Dump
  3. Search for the item by typing in the Short Name or Product ID search bars.
  4. Click on the item you want to dump.
  5. Fill out the DUMP columns with the correct information then hit Enter. See below for a description of each column.

Dump Column Descriptions​

Columns with * are required.

  • Dump Quantity*: The amount of plants you are dumping
  • Spacing Type: P2P means pot to pot, can tight; S means spaced
  • Comments: A place to make notes about the dump
  • Prod. Comments: Production notes about the plants
  • Grade: Quality of crop
  • Reason*: Select reason for dump from options

*Tip: You can customize the Dump reasons in system setup logo System Setup > Inventory Tracking > Dump Reasons.
