Determining what quantity is available for sale

eGrow Connect provides you with several options to track and monitor the availability and salability of items in your inventory. You may choose to use one or a combination of the following methods.

Tip: if you want to completely block the sale of an item, like when an item is reserved for production, you can do that in the "Extra Info" tab of the Item Sizes Library.

Using a Ready Date

Ready date can be made saleable or not saleable in system setup logo System Setup > Inventory Tracking > Ready Dates. If a ready date is not saleable then the entire quantity for the crop is not saleable, regardless of whether it is flagged as “On Availability” or not.

Using "Not Saleable" Qty

The "Not Saleable" column found in Inventory Adjustments is used to indicate a quantity which has questionable salability because of lesser quality, such as perimeter plants, that you want to prevent from being sold temporarily. After a subsequent check, you could update this quantity as you see how the items are progressing. The “Available” quantity of a crop will be reduced by the “Not Saleable” quantity.

Using the "On Availability" flag

Checking the “On Availability” column of inventory items will flag those items as available for sale. When filtering and searching within eGrow Connect, you will have the option to filter by items that are “On Availability”. Using this method allows you to preserve the original ready date of crops which can help with prioritization during sales.
