Add new inventory using Plant
You'll use the plant transaction when you are first introducing new inventory into your system. New inventory is added in groups called crops. Crop is defined in eGrow as a group of the same item that shares the same ready date and location.
Note: Before you can Plant new inventory, you must add the plant item and size to the Master Items Library first.
- Navigate to
Inventory, then
Inventory Adjustments.
- Click on
Plant.
- Search for the item using the search bars.
- Input the information about your new items in the Plant columns then hit Enter. See descriptions of each column below.
Example Scenario: A grower goes out in the field and takes 1,000 cuttings from a crop of the same plant. Hormone is applied to the cuttings and then placed in a communal tray to root out. The grower would then use the plant transaction to record the qty, location, and ready date of the newly planted crop.
